ASA Regional Administrators undergo NCA Leadership Journey

On February 11 and 12 2020, at the Montserrat Retreat House, in Silang Cavite, more than 60 ASA Philippines Regional Administrators for Visayas and Mindanao underwent the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Leadership Journey (NCALJ).

The participants spent two (2) days resting, reflecting, and learning about Ninoy and Cory’s brand of spiritual-leadership. Looking back at key experiences in their lives, they recalled moments when they felt loved and cared for, as well as people who have inspired them to care and serve others in return. After particularising highlights of their life journeys, participants were divided into their groups and each was given an opportunity to share a part of his or her story.

The participants also got a chance to hear testimonies from two (2) speakers: Ms. Ma. Elena “Ballsy” Aquino-Cruz, and NCAF Executive Director Mr. Rapa Lopa. Ms. Aquino-Cruz recalled her family’s own experiences and sacrifices as her parents, Ninoy and Cory, took up the roles of servant leaders and Democracy Icons.  Mr. Lopa focused on the realities that the participants may face in their respective duties and responsibilities as leaders. He also gave them the chance to pinpoint certain aspects of their work lives that are interrelated with their personal interests.

The program was graced by the presence of ASA Philippines President and CEO Mr. Kamrul H. Tarafder, who also gave a few words of wisdom to inspire the participants to further lead lives of purposeful work.
