DSWD Regional Office IV-A Leaders undergo NCA Leadership Journey

Last July 20-21, 2018, thirty-two (32) Department of Social Welfare and Development Regional Office IV-A (CALABARZON) personnel underwent the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Leadership Journey (NCALJ) at Hotel Dominique in Tagaytay City. The two-day seminar was part of DSWD’s formation program for the RO leaders, as well as an opportunity for the participants to have much needed rest and quiet time.

Inspired by Ninoy and Cory’s own brand of spiritual-leadership,¬†the participants underwent modules on reflection, gratitude, integrity, and self-sacrifice. They were given time to look back at their lives, the “why” of their service, and recall highlights of their years as a community-builders and social workers. Each division was also given opportunities to share their personal stories with one another and share insights about their work and mission. Former¬†ad interim DSWD Secretary, Judy Taguiwalo, surprised the participants and shared with them her own mission-story and encouraged them to reject all forms of corruption and continue serving with dignity and integrity.
