While most of the Catholic faithful have retreated into their homes for virtual masses, the raging pandemic has shone light on faith frontliners. Since the initial imposition of quarantine measures in March, the Church has survived a glaring absence of physical presence through the efforts of her volunteers and staff. They have been truly living out the meaning of loving and serving the Lord in everything.

It is with utmost honor that the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation cares for these carers through an Online Journey Recollection Session. Last November 28, twenty-five church staff and volunteers of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Novaliches paused, reflected and renewed the vibrant spirit of their missions.

A shared virtual space allowed for many a breakthrough in realizing the gifts God has bestowed upon his faithful servants even in such dark and daunting times. Though not without fear, all the participants agreed that a definitive description of their vocation-missions is summed up in a line from the Psalms – “Though I walk through the valley of darkness, I fear no evil for You are with me.”
