NCAF brings the Journey experience to youth at NTSB

NTSB CICL B1The Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation brought the Leadership Journey experience to forty (40) youth offenders or children in conflict with the law (CICL) at the National Training School for Boys (NTSB) in Tanay, Rizal on October 6 – 7, 2017.

The young participants spent two full days in prayer and reflection, learning about the values and characteristics of a good servant-leader as inspired by the leadership style of Ninoy and Cory. They were given modules on service, integrity, and love for others, in line with the NTSB’s formation and rehabilitation program for CICL.

They also had the opportunity to listen to the talks of Light of Jesus Family formator and inspirational speaker, Nico Capucion, and Philippine Jesuit Prison Service formator, Fr. Ro Atilano, SJ. Both guest speakers shared their own testimonies on God’s merciful love and invited the participants to look into their own experiences of love and compassion and to use these as inspiration to serve and care for their fellow CICL brothers and formators inside NTSB.

The program ended with the youth offenders expressing gratitude for the Journey experience, with some hoping that other youth would also undergo the same program to help them in becoming productive and good Filipino citizens.
