NCAF conducts Leadership Journey for Tanay public school teachers

Tanay2B groupThe Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation conducted its Leadership Journey for Public School Teachers on October 25-26, 2017 at the Punta de Fabian Resort in Baras, Rizal.

A total of 50 participants consisting of 43 teachers and seven (7) school heads from Tanay District II B attended the program which served as a supplement to their on-going INSET or In-SErvice Training that is mandated by the Department of Education.

Resource speakers such as Metrobank Outstanding Educator awardee, Mr. Onofre Pagsanghan, former principal Juanita Alajar, and Ten Outstanding Women of the Nation (TOWN) awardee, teacher Sabrina Ongkiko came to share with the participants their best practice experiences as educators.

Aside from listening to the talks of the resource persons, the participants were given modules on integrity, loving one’s calling with a passion, malasakit, and servant-leadership. They also had an opportunity to share their insights and reflections with one another. One teacher shared that she learned that teaching is not only a profession of service and imparting knowledge, but it is also an expression of one’s love and care for another.
