PGH Frontliners experience NCA Online Leadership Journey

On the 16th of July, 45 resident doctors of the UP-PGH OB-GYN Department were brought towards a deeper understanding of their personal trials in the COVID-19 Pandemic. Initiated by Fr. Henry Ponce SJ, these doctors were enjoined to a few hours to pause in the process of reflection through the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Online Leadership Journey.

Through the facilitation of Mr. Jampao Reyes, assisted by co-facilitators of the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation, the doctors went through a much-needed catharsis of the difficulties they went through in the last year. To be a medical practitioner in times such as these has never been more of a sacrifice- they realized as well how much of a difference they make in the world with what they do. One doctor-participant put it perfectly when he said that “the carers are always in need of caring, even when they themselves don’t know it.” The Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation is grateful to have shared meaningful moments of care and mindfulness with these frontliner-heroes.
