Project PEARLS volunteers undergo Leadership Journey

ProjP groupOn November 11 to 12, 2017, forty (40) volunteers and staff from Project PEARLS, a non-profit organization that aims to help the poorest of the poor in the Philippines through feeding and educational programs, underwent the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Leadership Journey at the Punta de Fabian Resort in Baras, Rizal.

The weekend provided an opportunity for them to rest, recharge, reflect and pray. NCAF Program Director Jampao Reyes guided them through modules on integrity, transformative self-sacrifice, and commitment to one’s mission. The volunteers and staff were also able to listen to the reflections of Project PEARLS founder, Ms. Melissa Villa, as well as share their own experiences with one another.

One of the volunteers remarked that she learned to “take time to reflect on the things I do. Always be grateful and always go back to your why‘s.”   Another volunteer thanked NCAF for the program saying, “it’s just two days but the effect could last a lifetime.”
