ADZU Teachers undergo NCAF Leadership Journey

On May 9 to 10, 2019, held at the Senior High School Library in Ateneo de Zamboanga, sixty-seven (67) junior and senior High School teachers from Ateneo underwent the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Leadership Journey for Teachers. Based on the leadership style of Ninoy and Cory, the participants were given time to rest, reflect, and pray.

NCAF’s Program Director, John Paulo Reyes, facilitated both days of the program, leading the participants through various modules, such as the “Connecting the Dots” module, where the teachers looked back at the good and the bad moments of their lives and tried to see where they felt loved and cared for. They also listened to the talks of Ateneo de Manila Senior High School’s Associate Principal for Student Affairs and Formation, Mr. Noel Miranda, and Ateneo de Davao Senior High School’s Assistant Director for Formation, Fr. Jboy Gonzales, SJ. They talked about one’s vocation as a teacher and to commit one’s self to a life of mission and purpose.

The participants also had opportunities to share their own life stories with one another, as well as several opportunities to share their insights and learnings with their fellow-teachers. They were also given the chance to share words of affirmation with one another. Apply their learning on love and care by asking for forgiveness and expressing their gratitude with their fellow teachers.
