First batch of BJMP-PDL undergoes NCA Leadership Journey

On July 9, 2018, forty-one (41) Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Persons Deprived of Liberty (BJMP-PDL) underwent the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Leadership Journey (NCALJ) at the Manila City Jail Chapel located inside the jail compound. The participants consisted of twenty-nine (29) dorm leaders and twelve (12) instructional managers – leaders among the PDL’s.

The participants experienced NCAF’s one-day program which consisted of modules on reflection, prayer, integrity, and self-sacrifice. The program is based on Ninoy and Cory’s own brand of spiritual-leadership. The participants were also given an opportunity to recall their life-stories and share their experiences and insights with one another during group sharing sessions. The participants expressed their gratitude to NCAF and the BJMP personnel for the “worthwhile program” and wished that more BJMP PDL’s undergo the Journey Program.
