Second Batch of CICL Participants from NTSB undergo NCAF Leadership Journey

On February 9-10, 2018, forty-two (42)  Children in Conflict with the Law or CICL underwent the Ninoy and Cory Aquino Leadership Journey (NCALJ) at the National Training School for Boys (NTSB) at Tanay, Rizal. The participants underwent a two-day leadership seminar based on Ninoy and Cory Aquino’s own brand of servant-leadership. It is a leadership grounded in prayer, reflection, and transformative self-sacrifice.

The CICL participants listened to the stories of recovering Person with Substance Use Disorder (PSUD), Ms. Jackie Tuason, Light of Christ Family Speaker and Missionary, Niko Capucion, and NTSB alumnus Rogelio Sacro Jr. The participants were also given opportunities to share their reflections and insights with one another during group sharing sessions.

Many of the participants shared that the program helped them realize that there is still hope for them to change their lives for the better and that there are people who continue to have care and love for them amidst the mistakes they’ve committed.IMG_5408
