Youth Scholars take a Pitstop

CED970C0-BA43-4971-9CC5-EF86C65A7CA2The Ninoy and Cory Aquino Foundation has been blessed to reach young people from impoverished areas in Caloocan City. The Diocese of Kalookan Mission Stations have served as beacons of hope amidst the ongoing pandemic- and our bridge to bringing the Leadership Journey to Youth Scholars in the program.

On September 11, 2021, 15 Participants were introduced to Ninoy and Cory’s leadership tools of Prayer and Discernment that lead to a life of self sacrifice. Program Director Mr. Jampao Reyes utilized these to bring the participants to a deeper understanding of their pandemic life experiences.

At the end of the session, the group agreed on one thing: that amidst all the difficulties and grievances brought about by life, ardent faith in God continues to change even the deepest of mourning into the light of day. “May liwanag sa kabila ng dilim dahil may pag-asa sa Panginoon.” An inspiring takeaway of one of the participants that summed up the fruits of the program for them.
